PUBLICATION DETAILS: Charlottesville: University Press of Virginia 1977. First edition. One of 500 unnumbered copies. Staple bound, paper cover on text. Pages unnumbered. Clean unmarked text. Text and four folding map sheets loose in portfolio in slipcase.

DESCRIPTION: A huge facsimile map on four sheets and an introduction by John Henry, the father of Patrick Henry. John Henry’s map was the first to show the county boundaries within the state, and as such, is considered a major piece of Virginia cartographic history. Only a few copies of the original exist. N.B. A few years ago we sold a copy previously hung framed in our spacious living room.
